About

I have counseled women with various types of cancers regarding changes in sexuality related to cancer treament since 2003. I worked in gynecologic oncology, taking care of women with ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvar cancers, for 11 years. I recently made a career change and am now working more closely with breast cancer survivors. Counseling topics include menopause, sexual side effects of treatment, body image changes, fear and grief associated with cancer diagnosis, vaginal and vulvar health, lubricants and moisturizers, and the use of vaginal dilators and vibrating wands.

Philosophy

Maintaining a healthy connection to your body and your partner are important in your healing journey after cancer. While there is no magic that will give you back your pre-menopausal or pre-cancer body, there are educational materials and a variety of tools to try that may help restore a healthy, hopeful, and positive sexual life.
