Specialization
I have 25 years experience providing individual, couple, and group therapy. My areas of specialization are couple and sex therapy, and trauma treatment. Working with abuse survivors and/or their partners on sexual issues is a particular niche of my practice.
Philosophy
I consider myself a feminist-relational therapist and integrate theory and practice from a variety of therapeutic approaches including relational-cultural/modern psychodynamic, sex therapy, emotionally focused couples therapy, cognitive-behavioral, and systems approaches. I am an active therapist and use a stance of respect and curiosity to cultivate a safe environment for this sensitive therapeutic work. I am LGBTQ-affirmative and welcome people of all genders, sexual orientations, relationship configurations, and lifestyles.
